Miley & Hannah are two weeks old as of Monday and growing fast.
They’re both starting to lose their chick fuzz as their wings come in. Hannah’s color hasn’t changed much so far, but Miley’s pretty patterns on her wings and head are becoming more apparent.
I tried to get a picture of her full wingspan, but she didn’t feel like cooperating. I think her size looks deceptively small when she’s sitting closer to the ground vs walking around or perched on my finger.
Both girls are getting taller & appear larger as their wings fill in. They’re still living in the brooder in my home office, with daily visits to the backyard. So far no interest in fresh fruits or veggies, but they have started catching bugs and eating them during outside time.
As their wing feathers come in, they’ve been using them to flutter up to the top of the brooder. I often find Miley perched on top of their water bottle set up when I go in to feed them in the morning.
I think the girls are growing on Mykl. I caught him taking pictures of them the other day
